Scripture: Ephesians 3:18-19

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”

Devotional:

It’s easy to lose sight of how loved we are. We often forget just how much God loves us. But God knew that we would often forget, so in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, He reminds us of His love.

In Ephesians 3:18-19, Paul prays for the Ephesian believers to comprehend the magnitude of God’s love. He wanted them to grasp the width, length, height, and depth of the love of Christ. These dimensions emphasize the boundless nature of God’s love, extending in all directions, encompassing every aspect of our lives. It is a love that knows no limits, no boundaries, and no conditions.

When we meditate on the width of God’s love, oh yeah oh yeah familiar but I was like I’m so grateful that he didn’t have to go through and come back to you until she was 28 he was in his 30s yeah it away like a grown man or is it a baby are you still at we realize that it extends to all people, regardless of our backgrounds. It reaches beyond our human comprehension. His love embraces everyone with open arms, offering forgiveness, grace, and reconciliation.

The length of God’s love reveals its eternal nature. It stretches from before the foundations of the world to the endless future. God demonstrated His love through Christ’s death on the cross, a love so profound that it endured the agony of the crucifixion to reconcile us to God. God’s love is not temporary; it is an everlasting love that will never fade away.

The height of God’s love lifts us above our circumstances and gives us a heavenly perspective. It transcends the difficulties and pain we face, providing hope and assurance. In times of uncertainty, we can rest in the knowledge that God’s love is higher than any obstacle we encounter. It empowers us to take flight, and soar.

The depth of God’s love reaches into the low moments of our lives. It picks us up when we are broken, ashamed, and hopeless. It is a love that seeks out the lost, heals the wounded, and restores the brokenhearted. When we feel unworthy or undeserving, God’s love meets us in the depths of our despair, reminding us that His grace is greater than our shortcomings.

Paul concludes by acknowledging that the love of Christ surpasses all knowledge. It is a love beyond human comprehension, and yet, we are invited to experience it deeply and intimately.

Let His love transform you today. Embrace it.
